Ismaël. From the poetics of VHS to the politics of the drone

    Ismaël offers a masterclass in the form of a screening, during which he will question his intimate link with moving images, as he simultaneously questions the mutations of images (their recording tools, their modalities, their aesthetics) from the invention of VHS to the invasion of screens in the digital age. The masterclass will be followed by a screening of artworks, in the gap between experimental cinema and video art produced by Ismaël between 2010 and 2021, including his latest which will be screened as a world premiere: li(f/v)e (experimental editing short film).
