Put life in pictures, until it overflows

Selfies, information, TV shows, cinema, sport, culture, social networks… There are plenty of images already. Has the bottleneck been reached? Why put everything in pictures? The question is: when it comes to images, how to wisely perpetuate their existence, against the simplicity of the spectacular, of the sensational and of visual soliciting? An ecology of images is to be considered, except for the fear of depleting the visual field from all potential for incarnation. Does a capital image (the icon) still find its place in this hyperbolic, hypnotic surge?
